Brandenburg Concertos French Horn Ornament
Approximate Dimensions: 4" x 3" x 3/16"
Black Cherry wood.
USA grown hardwoods are a renewable, biodegradable and sustainable resource.
The French Horn was derived from the horns of animals, especially ram horns, before becoming metal tubes with bell shaped openings. They were used as early hunting horns, until eventually in the 19th century, the horns were designed with valves to produce different keys and varied tones.
The Brandenburg Concertos were written by Johann Sebastian Bach and presented to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt, Germany, in 1721.
The French Horn ornament is intricately designed to depict all the curvatures and valves that give this instrument its amazing sound.
Cut from solid Black Cherry wood, grown and milled in the USA, it is finished with non-toxic, food-safe oil to bring out the beauty of the wood and protect it for years. Cutting and engraving are sharp and accurate to design specifications. Inspected and packaged by hand.
